Wise business decisions start with good data and that is the output of the MPR. Information on the most efficient and effective way to run a business is paramount to members. It is too risky in today’s economy to do what just “feel right” or the “seat of the pants” approach. This is the reason for the creation of our Benchmark Group offering. In these groups members of like characteristics interact throughout the year to discuss best practices and share strategies to drive an increased level of business as usual. Through this collective wisdom members are able to gain a deeper understanding of what effective and sustainable for those member that are just like them and do it every day! The RCG team provides the platform for communication, facilitates the meetings, and keeps the participants on track through homework assignments and project plans for each member/franchisee.
Our Benchmark Groups are composed of individual store owners/managers with similar characteristics who meet on a frequent basis to discuss financial and operational benchmarks comparing their individual performance to the group. These groups are assembled first by volume and business mix, and then by geographical location. Out of those sessions comes incredible ideas of how to increase efficiency, sales, and profits generated from those who are the closest to the pulse of the market—yourself and others just like you.
Our benchmark groups allow each member to receive a set of benchmark reports each quarter comparing performance to not only their region, but to the industry average, and to the top performers. Each group will meet remotely every two months for two hours, as well as a two day live session in their particular region.

The BMG program includes the WebEx online meeting, access to the social media NING and Box.net, all the financial tools that RCG will share through the social media, and personalized consulting with your Benchmark Group facilitator.
So back to the original question…Is Average Good Enough? It is if the average continues to increase by improving performance for those operating below average.
