Ken Crawford

Operational Consultant

His professional Career started 32 years ago as a carpet installer at the age of 18 just out of high school. He worked as an installer for five years then moved into sales. During that time he became interested in computers and bought an Apple II in 1981 and started learning programming and wrote an inventory control program that he sold to several flooring stores in the northern California area. He then moved from sales to general manager and then at age 25, he purchased the store.



He was always interested in operational excellence while using technology as the tool to manage it. He purchased RFMS in 1994 and joined Carpet One in 1996. He learned and taught RFMS to many of his local Carpet One members and continued to improve in operational systems including installation and customer service controls, estimating, and complete workflow using RFMS. He was also the lead Plaintiff in a class action suit to force carpet mills to abide by a California law governing claims.



Being an expert in claims management he helped many flooring stores in California get better compensation for handling claims services. Ken sold his store January 1, 2008 and started working with the Romano consulting group specializing in using RFMS for operational excellence and streamlining business processes
