She is an economist with a degree from the National University of Colombia. Johana worked as a Budget Department Assistant for the Colombian Oil Company, Ecopetrol, and was responsible for restructuring the Ecopetrol Budget database model, for the analysis and development of recommendations to establish Ecopetrol’s budget autonomy from the Colombian Government, and for the inspection and updating of the Saving Fund of Oil Stabilization for regulation compliance.
She also worked for the Research for Development Center in Colombia,CID, and was responsible for the research, analysis, and composition of numerous research papers and books, such as, The Integration of the Energy Sector under the Free Trade Agreement; the Electric Integration, Possibilities for Colombia; the Hydrothermal Integration in Central and South America; and the Methodology for the Development of Monitoring Systems in International Electric Market.
Johana spearheads the financial consulting end of the group by creating budgets and financial reporting tools.
