David Romano has been working in and on the retail industry for most of his life. He has nearly twenty years of management experience in the restaurant, retail, and consulting industry. In addition, the entire Romano Consulting Group team is comprised of individuals with decades of retail management experience and advanced degrees. His team has worked in such industries as: flooring, furniture, mattress, restaurant, real estate, construction, insurance, hotel, energy, fitness and healthcare.
David’s retail career started at a very young age working in such family restaurant concepts as Fuddruckers and Romano’s Macaroni Grill. His professional ventures range from a regional manager of a chain of upscale restaurants, Senior Consultant for the world’s largest hospitality consulting group, Associate for a boutique consulting firm focusing on shared services, owner and manager of a retail consulting group focusing on the flooring industry, to a managing partner of multiple flooring and home improvement concepts in North Carolina.
His team’s focus is taking retailers from their current state of “business as usual” to a more profitable and more efficient level. His approach is both proven and quick hitting by providing tools and solutions in the areas of sales management , merchandising metrics , organization planning and compensation, financial controls and forecasting, feasibility and best use studies, process improvement and the creation of management dashboards directly linked to client operating systems. The team is highly effective in providing business solution to family-owned and small to mid sized companies.
David received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Cornell University and an MBA from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.
